Sex(y): 10 Common Myths About Sex and Sexual Health Debunked

Condoms reduce pleasure and other sexual health myths.

In the second series of #MondayMythBusting, we delve into our second favourite word (feminism being the first, duh!) and explore what myths exist and are perpetrated about sex and sexual health.

The most common and believed being condoms reduce sexual pleasure where men usually are able to convince their female partners and, hence do not wear a condom. This is absolutely not true and one should avoid having sexual intercourse without a condom. This goes not just for peno-vaginal intercourse, but also for anal. Yes, anal sex can get one pregnant! Secondly, the purpose of the condom is not just to avoid unwanted pregnancy, but also protect you from STIs and STDs.

Other myths like men want sex more than women are extremely dangerous and promote rape culture. Surprise surprise, women want sex as much as men do, watch porn and masturbate!

Without further ado, we present you the second series of #MondayMythBusting – myths on sex and sexual health. Let us know in the comments section what would you like us to cover in the third series.
