Woman, thy name is Temptation! [Poem]

A sarcastic poem on patriarchy blaming woman for making a man losing his control.

Woman, you are the most ruthless being,
Your mere presence tempts him to sin.
You assault his roving eyes,
When on busy streets you casually stride.

Wicked witch, from beneath a veil you arouse his animal instincts
You look seductive, though a baby to your breast clings.

Pity the poor man, as he lies destroyed
His only chance of a noble life-
At the altar of your beauty, he sacrificed.

And here you ask in all innocence,
“What’s my fault? What did I do?”
Well,
You are a woman, you should have known
He is a man with no self control.

You shouldn’t have smiled, you shouldn’t have spoken
You shouldn’t have dressed, you shouldn’t have been.
For the sake of his delicate sanity.
