14th April 2017 is the the 126th birth anniversary of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar, one of the icons of the anti-caste movement in India and the liberator of millions of Indians shackled by the caste system.
Feminism in India celebrated the legacy of Dr Ambedkar by engaging in an insightful tweet-chat on the continued pervasiveness of casteism and caste-blindness in the Indian educational system. We were joined by 5 Dalit Bahujan panelists – Tejas Harad, Pradnya Waghule, Dhrubo Jyoti, Sharmishta, and @DalitWomenFight – as well as our Twitter followers.
