Swati’s story deals with the harmful effects of plastic sanitary pads on our bodies and the environment and what alternatives are available. This story is part of the larger campaign #ThePadEffect which advocates for sustainable menstruation.

This is not the first time that FII has won the Laadli Media Award. We received our first Laadli Media Award in 2015 for our campaign highlighting personal survivor stories of sexual harassment.
