Enpower is looking for Curriculum Developer

ENpower is hiring for the role of Curriculum Developer to be a part of the Knowledge team. The candidate should be based in Mumbai or Pune. It is a hybrid role with frequent travel to the office in Powai and occasionally to project sites.

Candidate Profile

Total experience required: 2-4 years
1. A graduate degree in any discipline and a postgraduate degree in Education/ Education
Psychology/ Humanities,
2. Candidates having Bachelor of Education, B.El.Ed., psychology degrees and fellows from Teach for India, Gandhi Fellowship, and similar experiences are welcome to apply.
3. 2-4 years of experience in curriculum development on skill development programs for youth, Atal Tinkering Labs programs, Design Thinking, and Entrepreneurship is required.
4. Experience in creating lesson plans, presentations, facilitation manuals, case studies, books, and videos for teachers and children.
5. Knowledge of the National Education Policy and National Curriculum Framework is essential. Understanding of state boards and the CBSE/ ICSE/ IB curriculum will be a plus.
6. Well-versed with constructivist learning theories and pedagogies like experiential learning, activity-based learning, problem-based learning, Kolb’s learning cycle, etc.
7. Knowledge of EdTech tools and digital content creation tools is essential.
8. Having experience working on government or CSR programs is an added advantage.
9. Willingness to learn new subject matter and skills, and travelling to project locations to understand ground realities for creating content suitable for beneficiaries is a must.
10. An eye for detail and proficiency in English is important. Proficiency in Marathi/ Hindi/ Kannada/ or other Indian languages will be an added advantage.

Someone with 2-4 years of experience in creating lesson plans, teaching materials, presentations, activities, and games for children will be a good fit. Knowledge of Design Thinking, Entrepreneurship skills, and life skills will be a plus. Prior experience in the education sector is must. It is a hybrid position with WFH and travel to the office in Powai, Mumbai. Mumbai-based candidates are preferred as travel to the office is required for 2-3 days a week.

Skills and Knowledge Required

1. Proficiency in resources for children and teachers such as lesson plan creation: presentations, teaching manuals, worksheets, and supporting documents.
2. Creation of assessments based on revised Bloom’s taxonomy
3. Content development in a child-friendly way with gamified hands-on activities.
4. Proficiency in using various EdTech tools for creating educational materials such as presentations, interactive activities, explainer videos, etc.
5. Knowledge of curriculum mapping to learning standards, skills, competencies and prescribed curriculums of various boards.
6. Knowledge of one of the following domains: Design Thinking, Entrepreneurship, Livelihood related topics.
7. Pedagogical knowledge required: Learning Theories, Constructivism, Problem-based Learning, Experiential Learning, and assessment design.

Key Responsibilities

• Developing curriculum content as per project requirements.
• QA/ QC of new and old content.
• Working on curriculum mapping as per skills and curriculum standards.
• Revising the content as per the feedback from stakeholders and the programs team.
• Researching trends, practices, gamification, and case studies to enhance the curriculum.
• Produce high-quality sessions that combine research with practical learning techniques.
• Work with program teams to manage the production of curriculum for program needs.
• Visiting project locations and taking feedback from beneficiaries and stakeholders to improve the curriculum.
