Abhiramy is a technology, policy, and society researcher who explores how technology not only shapes and reflects existing structural barriers but also how it can reinforce and reproduce forms of discrimination and harm, even as it offers possibilities to challenge and reimagine systems of power. Her current research focuses on AI and gendered harms, exploring how technologies such as automated decision-making models are not value-neutral and reflect gendered forms of oppression.
