FII is launching #MakeMyWorkplaceSafe campaign to address sexism in the workplace. We take a broader view of workplace safety than the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace Act, recognising that safety is a concern not only for women but also for all non-binary individuals and sexual minorities.
This video is a brief history of the activism and laws in place to combat sexual harassment at the workplace, from the Bhanwari Devi Case in 1992 to the current Sexual Harassment At The Workplace Act 2013. The campaign aims at creating a repository of survivor stories, expert advice and legal resources.
