Dr Veerdeep Kaur holds a doctorate in Women/ Gender Studies from the Department cum Centre for Women’s Studies and Development, Panjab University, Chandigarh, specialising in folklore, oral traditions, culture, and gender. Her doctoral research, supported by an ICSSR Doctoral Fellowship, examines the portrayal of women in Punjabi folk songs.
