Fi is looking for a Public Relations Officer

At Fi, we want to simplify everything about finance in ways that we can. From the way our app is designed, our Social channels, the tone of voice in our FAQs, right down to the content that our users engage with, we want to make things easier.

While mission statements are noble, challenges are real. We need our voice heard and our intentions known to the world. And this is where you come in.

At Fi You Will

  • Strategy: You will play an instrumental role in defining the strategy and helping realise it. Your work will help us decide what we won’t talk about, more than what we will.
  • Operations: Working with the press and our PR agency partner, means always being on a deadline. Time is of the essence. You will need to plan ahead, have enough material ready to meet any type of timeline.
  • Writing & research: Our content and communications team is more than equipped to help you with top-notch research and writing for dissemination to press. But in the event that they’re unavailable, you’ll need to deliver.

Skills & Experience We Are Looking For

  • Having excellent command of English as a first language will be a huge advantage here. You don’t need to have read Shakespeare. But being able to say things simply is the need of the hour.
  • Familiarity with the world of media. While we will have an external agency to help us out with actual PR, you will gate-keep this and filter through opportunities to arrive at what’s most relevant to the brand and company.
  • Experience in brand and communication strategy: While you will not be working on our Social Media stuff, an understanding of who this brand caters to, its tone of voice, benefits to users, and general personality will help you steer the comms ship through all weather.
  • Operations & coordination: This includes running meetings, interfacing with journalists, the agency partners, and more. And above, all having a point of view that’s unique and actionable.
  • The years don’t count as much as the work does. We’ll work with you for who you are, and not so much for how many years you’ve done this and similar things in other jobs.

Working at Fi

  • At Fi, you learn on the job. You’ll be surrounded by some very smart people from different backgrounds, who are happy to work with you to help you do your job better.
  • We don’t have a classic hierarchical structure full of red tapes and bureaucratic titles. You’re on a first-name basis with everyone from Day One. We’re all good at what we do, and we respect that.
  • Boundaries are respected. We don’t do WhatsApp or phone calls. Everything runs on Slack and GMeet, so you have your personal time and space away from your work laptop when you need it.
  • Fi is not a remote-work company. We believe in collaborating together in a physical office space. We are a young company with an evolving culture, and working in person with each other is key at this point. We are located in Bangalore.
  • We love to disagree respectfully. We work across functional boundaries, and nobody is too wise. This industry evolves every single day, and healthy debate is the only way to keep pace with change.

epifi is an equal opportunity employer and proud of it.
