    Hachette India is looking for someone who is organised, detail-orientated and passionate about meeting deadlines and budgets to manage a list of International Titiles through the desk editorial and pre-press stages.

    You will be managing new editions through manuscript, correction, proofing, proof collation and typesetting.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    • Planning and managing editorial and production schedules.
    • Creating prelims and adding new material into paperback and eBook editions.
    • Checking freelance work, handling queries and marking up changes.
    • Managing proof corrections, including proof collation and ePub conversion.
    • Raising and managing purchase orders and costs.
    • Liasing with production and editorial colleagues, as well as suppliers and freelancers to ensure budgets and schedules are met.
    • Supporting other members of the team to ensure the smooth running of the international desk editorial department.
