Republic Media Network is expanding, and we’re looking for a News Editor to join Republic Digital at the senior level of editorial leadership.
If you have a nose for news, an insatiable drive for current affairs, and a deep understanding of politics, geopolitics, and breaking news dynamics, this role is for you.
As a News Editor at Republic Digital, you will be at the forefront of shaping the news agenda, driving impactful stories, and setting the editorial tone for one of India’s most influential news platform. This role demands not just expertise but a deep commitment to journalistic excellence—curating, refining, and delivering news that shapes public discourse. You will lead by example, ensuring that every story carries the weight of credibility, speed, and depth that defines Republic. If you have the vision, instinct, and editorial firepower to influence the news cycle at the highest level, this is your calling.
You will be expected to drive a research-driven, perspective-led approach on all that’s breaking news in India and across the globe. From setting the pace on breaking stories to crafting well-researched, insight-driven narratives, your editorial judgment will be in core focus. This role demands a sharp focus on targets, ensuring that stories don’t just inform but also engage, add contextual perspective, and set the agenda. What We’re Looking For:
✅ A strong editorial hand with an inspirational body of work in digital hard news journalism.
✅ Ability to process breaking news with speed, accuracy, and the right contextual depth.
✅ Expertise in crafting hard-hitting news stories, with editorial flair both in writing and story presentation.
✅ A deep understanding of the mechanics of digital news, audience engagement, and platform dynamics.
✅ At least 10 years of experience in a newsroom, in an editorially driven role.
