This International Women’s Day, we came together in solidarity to celebrate our progress and to resist the patriarchal, casteist, communal and regressive forces that are operating with utter impunity in our country.
The march was organized by a collective of 27 women’s groups across Delhi. About 300 people gathered near the Rajiv Chowk metro station where it was scheduled to begin. There were fiery speeches, demanding 33% reservation and the overthrow of the casteist and misogynist powers of oppression. There were songs and dance, celebrating womanhood and resistance.
