June is celebrated as #PrideMonth all over the world. Today, on the anniversary of Delhi HC’s judgement – the reading down of Section 377 in 2009 – we celebrate the history of Queer Pride Marches in India along with Nazariya: A Queer Feminist Resource Group.
Pride Marches in India are an assertion and celebration of queer identity and resistance against an intolerant State. More and more cities have started their own Pride Marches over the past few years! Here’s to every queer person in India living without fear and guilt, and to more Pride Marches in every single village, town and city!
