Job Title: Associate (Capacity Building)

ABOUT ATECF
ATECF is one of India’s largest (by annual budget) and leading (by impact in chosen verticals) philanthropic foundations focused on delivering “Transformation at Scale” in the social sector. We professionally, manage the social impact-oriented giving of Archana & Amit Chandra and the A.T.E.
Group. Our differentiated approach involves strategically investing in ideas that generate exceptionally high SROI (social return on investment) over the long term. We deeply believe in the power of a ‘multiplier approach’ and aim to maximise our philanthropic impact by collaborations, impacting behaviour and policy.

Our approach towards problem-solving any societal issue is three pronged wherein we:
1. Engage in understanding the root cause by investing in research and data
2. Work, directly or with partners, to build replicable templates using case studies that can help spread learning relating to success and failure
3. Have an open architecture approach and disseminate our learnings for wide adoption of good practices. Also, work extensively with governments, where it is possible to impact policy

Our efforts are well distributed between implementation and advocacy of evidence, to play a catalytic role in solving for issues at scale. We also spend material resources to help build open platforms that can be leveraged by all.

Our co-founders and a highly eminent group of Advisors spend substantial amount of their time working very closely with a tight knit team to collectively impact the following focus areas:
A) Capacity Building (CB) – building ecosystem capabilities of the sector and materially improving organizational effectiveness. We are perhaps one of the oldest and largest donors active in this space.

Rural Development (RD) – focused on uplifting farmers and those living in Rural India, mainly through two specific initiatives:
a. Rejuvenation of Water Bodies – we support one of the longest running and largest water security programs in the country, which is active in 5 states, and work closely with the Central and Maharashtra Government.
b. Regenerative Agriculture – Building scientific and economic evidence for this. Also, help support building systemically important institutions in the space.

C) Additional Focus Initiatives
a. Need based sustainable scholarship funding for institutes to attract women students
b. Urban Governance
C. Afforestation
d. Support, where needed, legacy investments to eminent institutions such as SRCC Children’s Hospital, Ashoka University, a few museums, Give India
