Asia Society India Centre is seeking Project Manager for the 2023 Asia Arts Game Changer Awards and its lead-up/collateral events. The Asia Arts Game Changer Awards India is an annual marquee convening of Asia Society that honors visionaries across the field of art and culture. The Awards pay tribute to artists and arts professionals who have made a significant contribution to the development of modern and contemporary art in Asia and who inspire a deeper empathy and understanding of the world through their work.

The 2023 Asia Arts Game Changer Awards India will be hosted in an in-person / hybrid format on February 10, 2023 during the India Art Fair in New Delhi, and will include a dinner, performance, special guest, and the unveiling of a special Asia Society collectible. The Centre will present an exhibition, curated walkthroughs, private dinners and other special events in the lead-up to the 2023 Awards.

Responsibilities:

  • The responsibilities of the Project Manager will include the following:
  • Work with the arts and culture team to conceptualise, develop and execute the Awards ceremony, performance and dinner, as well as any lead-up programmes and collaterals.
  • Oversee and coordinate all administrative and operational logistics, including timelines and deliverables in relation to the Awards and all collateral events.
  • Assist the team with logistics for all lead-up events, including an exhibition in Delhi and other exclusive events for key stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with the video production team to prepare all digital content in the lead-up to and during the Awards
  • Oversee audience management, including engagement with the arts community in South Asia and beyond; members of the Asia Society India network; and other relevant stakeholders to ensure appropriate attendance at the Awards and related programmes.
  • Manage outreach for the Awards, including public relations, social media, personalized invitations, and any other communication work
  • Prepare all design collaterals in keeping with the brand language for the Awards, with assistance from the team
  • Assist the Arts and Culture team with other logistics including but not limited to venue, F&B, and TLB for guests during the Awards
  • Assist the Head of Business Development to identify prospective sponsors and partners
  • Assist the Head of Business Development to execute the production and logistics of the Asia Society India collectible for 2023, including but not limited to design, packaging, transport, identifying buyers, and any liasoning work associated with the collectible.

Requirements:

The applicant must possess:

  • A minimum bachelor’s degree in any field. Preference will be given to applicants with a background in arts administration/management; art history; communication; or the humanities. Knowledge of contemporary art from South Asia is a must.
  • A minimum two years professional work experience in programme management and/or administration in interdisciplinary cultural/arts organizations.
  • Strong oral and written communications skills in English
  • The ability to work independently and take initiative, but also function as a member of a team
  • Detail-oriented administrative capabilities; the ability to undertake diverse tasks and work on multiple projects concurrently
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point)
  • Proficiency in basic graphic design: on Photoshop/InDesign and Canva
  • Proficiency with social media and communication tools: Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube and Mailchimp
  • Ability to be open minded and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
  • A working laptop and fast internet connection, suitable for working from home, and the ability to travel to the Mumbai office for a fixed number of days in a week.
