Who Can Apply?

Graduate or postgraduate in management, development studies, social Work, HR, or related fields with 2-4 years of experience in project management, volunteer management or HR within an NGO or corporate setting. Preferred experience in the social sector (NGO, fellowship, social consulting, or CSR) with strong skills in project execution, volunteer coordination, and relationship management.

Location – Preferably in Bangalore
Work Type – Hybrid (Virtual working plus travel for meetings/ partner visits)
Duration – 1 year contract
Salary range – 7.33 Lakhs per annum (LPA) + PF + Medical insurance + Allowances

Our Programme Portfolio
Our five interconnected programme areas are designed to provide targeted, strategic and scalable support to NGOs at different stages of their capacity building journey.

Capacity Building Programmes : Longer term partnerships for systematic organisational development through structured
one on one support aimed at achieving specified outcomes. The following are our flagship programmes:
– Accelerator: Intensive capacity building support for 2-3 years
– Future of Impact: 1 year programme to build Common Minimum Capacities for grassroots NGOs focused on building resilience.
– TaRa AtmaNirbhar Grant: 1 year programme with capacity building support and financial grants (for Pune based NGOs)

Project Partnerships : Focused, customised interventions targeting specific organisational development needs of NGOs one to one.
Workshops: Specialised training sessions for specific areas of nonprofit management and organisational development.

The following are the kinds of workshops Atma conducts:
Diagnostics: Paid Capacity building needs assessment using Atma’s tool (Life Stage Survey) one on one with NGOs
Masterclass: Paid in house expert led training on OD topics for multiple participants
Cohort Training: Group based training facilitated by Atma, for the NGOs affiliated with a donor, intermediary or any other partner
Third Party Training: Atma training sessions co developed and facilitated by external experts
Webinars: Free monthly webinars conducted by Atma, curating third-party expertise with our own.

Atma Lab: Innovation hub for testing new initiatives and creating knowledge products and tools for the sector. The
following are the key interventions:
– Ecosystem Support: Creating sector goods and supporting sector initiatives
– Innovation: Piloting new initiatives for capacity building
– Knowledge Hub: Creating and curating knowledge resources for Atma’s work in capacity building.

Volunteer Engagement : Our Volunteer Programme creates connections between skilled corporate talent and NGOs, addressing their capacity building needs through two distinct pathways:
– Atma Volunteer Programme: Skilled individuals collaborate with Atma staff to provide expert support to partner NGOs.
– Corporate Partnerships: We facilitate meaningful engagements between companies and their employees through targeted volunteering initiatives that strengthen NGO capabilities.

Purpose of the role:
The Programmes Consultant will be responsible for executing and managing all pro bono talent initiatives across programmes at Atma. This includes the Atma volunteer programme, corporate partnership execution, mentorship coordination, and webinar speaker management. The role focuses on maintaining talent pipelines, optimizing placements, and enhancing engagement to ensure successful programme delivery.

Main Responsibilities:

Atma Volunteer Programme Management:
– Execute standardized recruitment processes for Atma volunteers
– Maintain a robust volunteer pipeline with 30-50 prospective volunteers at any given time
– Screen volunteer applications
– Complete recruitment processes
– Maintain an up to date volunteer database tracking skills, availability, and preferences
– Implement strategies to convert prospective volunteers into active volunteers
– Organise volunteer onboarding, engagement activities, and professional development sessions
– Track volunteer hours and ensure regular monitoring
– Conduct regular check-ins with volunteers and work managers
– Facilitate mid-term reviews and exit evaluations
– Develop and manage an alumni engagement programme for former volunteers.

Corporate Partnership Execution:
– Execute and manage corporate volunteering initiatives
– Coordinate various corporate volunteering formats
– Workshops (matching volunteers to deliver knowledge-sharing sessions)
– Immersive projects (facilitating longer-term engagement with selected NGOs)
– One time volunteering events and activities
– Maintain updated data on corporate volunteer impact metrics
– Prepare reports on workshops, immersive projects, and other activities
– Ensure corporate volunteers receive proper orientation and support
– Facilitate introductory calls between corporate volunteers and NGOs
– Monitor project progress and ensure timely completion
– Collect and document feedback from all stakeholders

Mentorship Programme Coordination:
– Develop and manage mentor qualification criteria and role descriptions
– Source and screen potential mentors for Atma’s capacity building programmes
– Facilitate mentor-NGO matching based on expertise and NGO needs
– Conduct mentor orientation and onboarding sessions
– Track mentor-mentee engagement rates and ensure minimum 75% monthly engagement
– Facilitate regular check-ins with mentors to assess progress and address challenges
– Develop feedback collection systems from both mentors and mentees
– Create recognition programmes for mentors
– Maintain data on mentor impact and programme outcomes
– Prepare quarterly reports showing mentorship programme outcomes
