    The Role

    Oxfam International Secretariat is looking for a Worldwide Campaign Strategist who can lead the gender rights and justice influencing work around the world and across the confederation at every level – embedding clear power analysis and theories of change, and delivering effective strategies for systemic change. The Worldwide Campaign Strategist will be responsible for the creation and management of effective project teams and ensure organisational influencing priorities are clearly set. They will oversee the development and implementation of power analyses and theories of change for priority campaigns, and ensuring the appropriate influencing, engagement, policy, advocacy, and programmatic resources are mobilised internally to deliver high impact. They will support the delivery of impactful and coherent worldwide campaigns across the confederation, at country, regional, and international level. Ensuring that campaigns work is developed based on the experiences of country program, allies and partners, and ensuring they are reflective of the inequalities, injustices and lived experiences of people living poverty, and that they are delivered in a non-extractive, decolonised, anti-racist feminist way.

    It will be essential for the Worldwide Campaign Strategist to provide support, build relations and secure partnerships with campaigning partners and movements. While providing creative direction, ensuring we deliver powerful common narrative, engagement and communications with an audience sensitive approach. They will be able to deal with problems that are highly diverse and complex requiring comprehensive analysis of management and programme information from a wide variety of sources.

    The Worldwide Campaign Strategist is responsible for managing campaigners and project teams in an anti-racist, intersectional feminist and supportive manner, in line with Oxfam’s values.

    Who we’re looking for

    Our next Worldwide Campaign Strategist will have:

    • Self-Awareness

    In addition:

    • Excellent project management skills and experience.
    • Experience in managing performance of others and helping people to develop, grow and achieve their potential, including increasing diversity and inclusion in teams and / or workplaces.
    • A proven track record in leading successful campaigns that contributed to policy / practice / behavioural changes. Comfortable with complexity and the need for agility.
    • Strong experience and understanding of developing accurate power analysis, advocacy strategies, and models and theories of change, including awareness of political sensitivities
    • Excellent communications skills
    • Excellent understanding of, commitment to and experience of embedding and continuously learning to embed a decolonial, anti-racist, intersectional feminist and partner led approach in your work.
    • Ability to manage large amounts of work, outstanding prioritisation and time management skills.
