Position Summary
The Deputy Manager Program will perform duties related to the development, execution, monitoring, and effective delivery of SBI Foundation’s programmes/projects to facilitate the fulfilment of CSR obligation in line with SBI Foundation’s policy and applicable CSR guidelines of Government of India.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Under the direct supervision and reporting to the next higher authority and overall guidance of the Management at SBI Foundation, the official will be responsible for the following tasks:
1. Program Development and Management:
● Design, implement, and evaluate programs.
● Address issues in program structure and propose corrective actions.
● Engage with NGOs in program delivery.
● Ensure programs meet objectives, adhere to timelines, and provide a high-quality beneficiary experience.
2. Stakeholder Engagement:
● Build relationships with external partners, NGOs, and government agencies.
● Establish Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for measuring LEAP program’s impact.
● Liaise with relevant parties to address program issues and propose corrective actions.
3. Budget Management:
● Meet budget targets through innovative program concepts.
● Undertake programs within allocated budgets.
● Participate closely with NGOs in program delivery to ensure financial efficiency.
4. Project Evaluation and Reporting:
● Evaluate project proposals using a scoring matrix.
● Monitor, evaluate, and report on SBI Foundation programs.
● Ensure accurate reporting to funders and SBI Foundation management.
● Shortlist and evaluate implementation agencies.
● Conduct due diligence, KYC for partners, audits, and site visits.
● Create a final shortlist and present project evaluation reports to committees/boards.
5. Team Management and Support:
● Manage and guide a team and review team performance, provide feedback, and guide team members.
● Provide substantive support to the Management in high-level meetings.
● Coordinate knowledge sharing within the team and with external partners.
6. Documentation and Compliance:
● Prepare written outputs, disseminate best practices, and organize seminars.
● Provide documents during audits, ensuring compliance with audit observations.
● Update project documents on the online platform, collaborating with the Finance and Monitoring & Evaluation team to establish a centralized data hub.
● Recommend/Evaluate/Sanction of Projects as a part of committee Member in compliance with the Internal Policy of SBI Foundation, direction of the Board, Audit Committee, EC Committee, CSR Department of SBI and Other guidelines issued by MCA/CVC and other Central and State Governments from time to time.
7. Resource Mobilization and Representation:
● Develop proposals to mobilize resources for SBI Foundation goals.
● Represent SBI Foundation in collaborations and partnerships.
● Create promotional material and share program stories for media coverage in coordination with the internal Marketing & Communications team.
8. Monitoring and Evaluation Framework:
● Develop monitoring frameworks and KPIs for projects.
● Undertake impact assessments to judge program success.
● Ensure end-use of funds aligns with project milestones.
9. Project Ideation and Management:
● Ideate, conceptualize, and manage projects with onsite NGOs.
● Contribute to grant and contract management.
● Support the development and sharing of promotional material.
10. Committee Responsibilities and others:
● Recommend and evaluate projects as a committee member.
● Ensure Team’s projects & documents related to them are updated on the provided platform.
● Perform any other task assigned by SBI Foundation management.
Required Qualifications & Work Experience
● Master’s degree or equivalent in social sciences, or related areas with a specialisation in the field of Livelihood, Entrepreneurship, Innovation in Skilling & Livelihood and other related fields, etc.
● Minimum 4 years of experience in managing projects in the field of (Livelihood, Entrepreneurship and Innovation in Skilling & Livelihood).
Required Skills:
• Proven work experience in the field, including collaboration with government agencies, multinational corporations, UN, or other international development organizations (an advantage)
• Project facilitation experience is beneficial
• Strong program management skills
• Proficient in MS Office
• Analytical and organizational skills with the ability to work in a team
• Knowledge and experience with the development situation in India
• Initiative, analytical, and good networking skills
• Excellent interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills
• Report writing and presentation skills
• Go-getter and self-starter with strong judgment and problem-solving skills
