The Opportunity
Sportskeeda’s Entertainment Division, Soap Central, is looking for a witty and creative Humor Writer to join the team. As a Humor Writer, you’ll bring laughter and originality to the Lifestyle section, appealing to a US-based audience across genres like pop culture, celebrity gossip, life hacks, and trending topics. This role offers a unique opportunity to hone your content creation skills while making people smile.

Role: Contract
Key Responsibilities:
– Write regular features and humor articles across Lifestyle topics.
– Update articles to align with SEO strategies.
– Write at least 4-5 funny articles, listicles, or sketches daily.
– Research, format, and find images that add humor to articles.
– Take feedback from the editorial team to fine-tune your work.
– Collaborate with editors to create hilarious content.
Requirements:
– A creative, comedic mindset with a knack for generating original and humorous content ideas.
– Knowledge of humor styles in pop culture, entertainment, and lifestyle topics.
– Background in journalism, comedy, or media preferred.
– 1-2 years of experience in digital humor writing or mass communication.
– Ability to meet deadlines and consistently deliver laughs.
– Strong English skills, including flawless grammar and a fun, engaging style.
– Ability to write clean, error-free articles.
