About the Role

The role of the Social Media Executive will primarily be to collaborate and create a social media strategy aimed at increasing engagement on social media, as well as increase web traffic to Economic times website. The role will involve identifying trending stories as well as tracking our own website, and publishing them across social media.

Work Responsibilities

– Plan, create and implement social media campaigns for news and company events (Award Shows, Forums, etc.)
– Live posting on big ticket events such as Elections, Budget, Republic Day, etc.
– Publishing across multiple social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, WhatsApp etc.
– Identify insights and social media trends through data analytics
– Collaborate with copywriters/stakeholders/reporters
– Monitor, engage and grow followership
– Monitor brand communication, engagement, web traffic of social media campaigns
– Monitor and analyze competitors, assimilate best practices
– Innovate upon social media strategies and track performance of initiatives

Skills & Expertise

– Good English Grammar is a must
– Basic knowledge of Social Media Platforms, and an existing FB profile
– Ability to track and analyze data from various social media platforms is a plus
– Basic knowledge of design tools like Canva, Photoshop is a plus
