FII’s founder, CEO and Editor-in-Chief, Japleen Pasricha, received the Democratic Sangha Change Maker Award for her steadfast commitment to feminist journalism, building platforms that serve as essential spaces for marginalised voices, and for pushing public conversations for gender equality and gender justice.

In 2013, Japleen created a Facebook page to talk about feminism and women’s issues. That page grew to become FII, an award-winning intersectional feminist platform. Over the past 11 years, FII has tirelessly worked towards gender equality, women’s empowerment, and platforming and amplifying the voices of the marginalised. We thank you for being part of this journey.
However, in our times of right-wing authoritarianism and AI advancements that are changing the landscape of journalism, feminist media houses like ours are experiencing funding shortages. FII’s journalism continues to be free and accessible to all, and we intend to keep it that way, but we would appreciate your support. Support FII’s feminist journalism by making a donation.
